We invite you to participate in the long-distance public transport survey.
The survey aims to find out what kinds of public transport journeys are made in Finland. By responding, you influence the planning of future flight, train, and bus connections.
The survey data is collected by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom, which maintains a registry of the research data. The data collection and processing of the survey is carried out by Taloustutkimus Oy.
The results provide valuable information about mobility for planners, researchers, and decision-makers, so that transport services can be designed to meet people's needs. The collected data is used, for example, in the planning of new rail and road investments and transport services.
Anyone who has received an invitation card can participate in this survey, which collects information about the ongoing trip. Participation is entirely voluntary.
Your responses will be processed only for the purpose of conducting the survey and will be stored securely. The survey does not collect information that could directly identify respondents.
The processing of personal data complies with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The survey's privacy statement is available at https://traficom.fi/en/traficom/privacy-policy/.
You will not receive any spam mail because of your participation. Taloustutkimus saves your answers securely and keeps them confidential. In the analysis stage, your responses are combined with the responses of other survey participants into a single dataset. Your responses will not be linked to your direct personal information, so it is not possible to identify you through the responses. The responses of all survey participants are compiled into material that is used as a basis for research publications. In the publications, the responses are examined as part of a larger set of materials, and the responses of an individual respondent are not presented separately.
